World Of Warcraft: Warcry Announces Purchase of World of Warcraft

DURHAM NC--Warcry Corporation is pleased to announce its acquisition of Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG.

Future plans for the popular MMORPG are hazy, but Warcry did confirm they will be changing the name of the game to "World of Warcry" to reflect their new purchase.

"We're really excited about this," said Director of Network Operations Jerry Godwin. "Now, instead of fighting giant spiders, you can read about fighting giant spiders."

Other changes mentioned include a return of the rest system that actually forces you to go offline before your character starts earning experience again.

"We thought, 'What do MMO gamers really need?' and the answer was abundently clear," said Content Manager "Orson". "They really need to go outside. And a shower."

Warcry will not confirm, but rumors say that they will include editorial content in the game itself.

"I'm working up some elaborate jokes about your mom," confirmed the noted misanthrope Vandemar from his secluded mountain lair. "And I've got metaphors for days."

Major systems changes are also planned, including a "We designed it, it's meant to be like that, live with it" class rebalance and a refinement of the support system to include a Big Red Button system for GMs.

"When a player gets out of line, the GM pushes the big red button, and a boxing glove shoots out of their monitor and socks them in the face in amusing fashion," confirmed one of the new developers. "It's gonna be AWESOME."

The Big Red Button Boxing Glove will be included in the upcoming expansion, "World of Warcry: You'll Give Us Money No Matter What We Do" and will be a mandatory download.

When reached for comment, the official forums were split between "OMG LOL WTF BBQ" and long-winded rants by frustrated amateur game designers.

Other Warcry expansion plans may include Tabula Warcry, City of Warcry, and Ultima Warcry: LOL NINJAS R COOL!!!
