Everquest 2: Sony patents "Matrix" technology.

I very seldomly post information not directly related to EverQuest 2, this story however, is just to good not to post.

THE Japanese entertainment giant Sony has patented an idea for transmitting data directly into the brain, with the goal of enabling a person to see movies and play video games in which they smell, taste and perhaps even feel things, it was reported today.

Thats right ... Sony has patented this idea and I'm sure if they are able to make it work...expect an MMORPG that you can actually taste, touch and smell. EverQuest 3 anyone?
