All the issues with the PTS have been resolved [until more are found], and is ready to go. To quote Miykael, "Ok people. Rock and roll. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your patience in waiting. Have fun with Chronicle 3."

We got a nice new auto-updater! About time! For those who don't know, the Public Test Server is a 'spare' server where they test out new features before it hits the real game. All characters on there are deleted from time to time, but it's still fun to goof around. You can download the client here, but you must have a valid subscription to use it.

Until they stop it, the PTS has 5x XP, 5x SP and 5x the drops. There is also a 10x adena drop rate.
