Asherons Call: A Virtual Economy with Real Value

While not an Asheron's Call story, it is an interesting item in its own right. An economics professor did a study of eBay transactions for items sold from Everquest and determined that if the game world were a real nation it would be the world's 77th most wealthy country, right behind Russia.
