Dungeons And Dragons Online: A Moment with Berdajeraxx: Sneak Attacks and Flanking

| 5 Jun 2005 00:34

With promises of ale and sweets, we've lured Berdajeraxx out of his lair to bring us another informal discussion. This time, he wants to know what you think about the lack of flanking:

The latest news heralds that flanking is out. This isn't much of a surprise since flanking is a principle that does not realy fully apply in combat between a handfull of combatants (flanking is more commonly associated with combats of units of men in large groups and how the groups are formed - 'pike square' - and move - 'wheeling').

My question is does it effect your perception of combat. Who here was putting alot of stock into Rogue sneak attacks?

How should the concept of flanking be handled? How will this effect sneak attacks and PC maneuverability? Now is your chance to tell us what you think.
