Asherons Call: Chess Tournament!!

1) The tournament will occur on the Leafcull server. Actual board locations to be announced.

2) The actual number of games played on any particular day will vary on the number of participants.

3) The Tournament is open to all that wish to participate.

4) There will be prizes for the top 3 players in the form of T-Shirts or Mugs from the Warcry store. All other contestsants will receive a Chess Stamp inscribed by Crossroads of Dereth stating:

I entered Warcry's Crossroads of Dereth Chess Tournament and all I got was this stupid Chess Stamp.

5) On with the fun:

A) All participants must sign up for the tournement no later than midnight April 11th PST. We will need the following information on the players: Main Character name and world of origin; character name participating in the tournament on LC; Email Address they can be contacted at; their real life name and address; times (preferably in PST equivalent times) and days generally available to play (though it may not be guaranteed that a game time will fit a persons schedule).

B) Opponents will be selected at random (within similar timezones if possible) and matched for individual games. After each tier of the tournament is completed, the winners will be matched at random for the higher level tier. Should the final tier have an odd number of players (meaning 3) they will all play each other (will have more specifics on this later)

C) There will be a page set up on CoD.warcry that will list games: participants, moderators, times and places. All participants and Arbitors will be responsible for checking the schedule to see when they are playing. All times and dates will be at the PST zone.

D) The Arbitor needs to arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the game. Each game will be timed at one hour max. If the game has not been completed within said hour limit, the Arbitor has the choice of allowing the game to continue, or declaring a winner based on the player who has the advantage.

E) Players who are more than 10 minutes late for their game forfeit the game. After the game has commenced, if either player logs out for any reason (including isp crashes, lag etc) the player that logs out forfeits the game, no exceptions. The only reason that a game can be replayed is if the AC servers go down for some reason. Should neither player arrive on time, they will both forfeit and be dropped from the tournament.

F) Proper Etiquet will be expected from all parties involved. Should either of the players become abusive or rude, the Arbitor has the right to declare a forfiture.

G) Upon the completion of a game, the Arbitor will forward the results to me.

H) All participants are required to have fun. Falure to have a good time could result in your being sent to a corner to sit with the Drudges.
