Dungeons And Dragons Online: Globe Article Feedback

In an earlier article, we linked to the Boston Globe story, and now Sporkfire, as well as community members, offer up some feedback and discussion:

Just waxing philosophically for the moment, I actually believe that DDO will outdo expectations (I had a job before I took this one, after all, and I made the change because I felt that belief in the project).

When I first heard of DDO, I will be frank and say that I didn't put much thought into it. After all, D&D licensed games are not exactly rare. But it was only after talking with a colleague that I realized that this was one of the first electronic adapatations that focused on recreating the experience in addition to recreating the ruleset. Now that's awesome.

Pretty cool to hear passion such as that out of the dev team. I know I was surprised when Spork left the PlanetSide team, but overjoyed when he popped up at Turbine. Anyway, here's his post.
