Star Wars Galaxies: Weekly Wednesday Beta Update #37 - Beta 3 CDs being mailed.

Q-3P0 gave us a nice update on the status of Beta 3 as well as giving us some truely nice and indepth player impressions of Corellia. Here is a part of his post.

Today we are sending Beta 3 CDs to our existing Beta 2 members. Next week we will make the switch over to Beta 3 with them. Assuming all goes well, we'll start sending out the invites soon thereafter. As stated, we're going to ramp up the numbers, starting with 5000. Again, if all goes well, we'll get the numbers up to 50,000 within a month or so. The NDA will remain for the time being.
I'm guessing (and only guessing) that our official release date will be announced once we are a little bit into Beta 3.

Last week I said that the PAs were going to war. They did. It was neat. They didn't really post much on the forums about it so I don't have anything interesting to pass on about it. So instead I'll give you some tester impressions of Corellia.

I can remember the very first time I saw screenshots of Corellia. Golden beaches, exotic plant life, and skies that contained a harmonious mixture of purples, blues, and pinks. I knew at that very moment that Corellia would be my homeworld, the planet that would nurture my mining and droid engineering business. I had high hopes for Corellia, and after visiting Coronet and the surrouding areas for the first time today, all my expectations have been exceded far beyond my wildest dreams.
Upon entering Coronet, I was greeted by a group of tremendous skyscapers. If you get one impression of Corellia that you won't get on any other planet, it's that the cities are enormous. Extending as far as the eye can see, Coronet appears to be a mecca for both the aspiring business man and the lonesome traveler out for a days stroll on the absolutely magnificent terrain. I still can't believe how beautiful the planet is. The planets and moons above are awe inspiring to witness above the swaying wheat fields and the curvacious trees.

Now Corellia wasn't everyone's favorite planet, but aside from a few bugs, the response has been pretty positive.
