Dungeons And Dragons Online: Turbine Looks to Asia

| 8 Jul 2005 20:09

Ferrago has a story on Turbine's efforts to pierce the Asian gaming market, paired with new partners and their new games (such as LotRO and DDO). From the article:

Asia is rapidly becoming the world's largest MMOG market thanks to burgeoning success in China, following South Korea's example. Now Turbine, with $30 million US in venture capital, are looking to strengthen their role in the MMOG genre. Australia's Omake Interactive Services will support Turbine by sourcing local distribution and support for the developer's titles

While the article, link, is brief, it promises more coverage in the future. More Turbine fans is always a good thing, but I wonder how well Dungeons and Dragons has been received as a whole in the Asian market.
