Those poor, hapless Lugians. Some of the bad boys have stolen Kresovus's pet ... mattekar. Of course, since the Lugians are big, they do things in a big way. And Kresovus ... well, he's Lord Kresovus now, so he demanded the biggest pet. And Balor is ... BIG! This guy is a Level 124 Mattekar, the biggest there is (bigger than the ancient Hoary Mattekars that are only Level 100, bigger than the Swarthy Mattekar as well).

Well, it's hard to believe, but bringing back his lost pet will net you millions of experience points! Oh, and, of course, important lore regarding the tribal conflicts of the Lugians. At any rate, visit the fascinating (and Big) Linvak Tukal, speak to Lord Kresovus about the recent invasion of the Tukal by, "... a tribe of some foul thing I cannot begin to describe.
