Crossroads of Dereth RSS Newsfeed
Welcome to Warcry's Crossroads of Dereth RSS newsfeed system. This system allows you to place the most recent news headlines from our page onto your web page, and have them update whenever we update here! You can place it wherever you'd like, in any style you'd like, and they can even be added without knowing a lot of HTML.

We've provided three examples of how to set up your site to display these headlines below, with varying levels of difficulty.

If you're not looking for a way to put the headlines on a website, but instead would like to see them on your desktop, just look around on the internet for a program that can read RSS news feeds. We personally recommend Trillian Pro, which is an exceptional program that will not only display news feeds, but can also replace all your messaging programs to boot.

Newsfeed Scripts
Important note: Our primary newsfeeds all validate for RSS 1.0. RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds are also available, please let us know if there are any errors.

JavaScript
This is the simplest method to add the newsfeed to your page, and will work on any HTML page - no fancy scripting required (on your end). It's also the least customizable, and relies on your readers having Javascript enabled, so if you can do one of the other methods we suggest using that instead.

PHP
If you're wondering how we feel about PHP, just look at our site URL's. This news feed script is the one we use here, and is our recommendation if your site can run PHP too. While it may not be fancy, it is fast, and it gets the job done.

ASP - script provided by Sean Williams.
We don't know nearly as much about ASP as PHP, but we're assured that this script does in fact work. If you're using ASP, and need a quick and simple scriptlet, this should work for you.

If none of the provided scripts are the right one for you, you can find literally hundreds of other RSS parsing scripts on sites like HotScripts, ScriptSearch, or any of the other fine web script databases on a server near you.

For our more technical readers: This newsfeed is a RSS 1.0 document. The actual feed is located at http://ac.warcry.com/scripts/news/rss/5.rdf.

We also provide newsfeeds in RSS 2.0 and Atom formats.
