Asherons Call: Decal: Castaway Status Update

The major issue for us was the lose of Imp Filter. Castaway made heavy use of Imp Filter. As one of the developers described the lose of Imp Filter:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...I'm not saying one part, I'm saying all the really important parts for castaway are now either severly changed, crippled, or otherwise missing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So goal one was to just a DLL to compile again, which means finding all the Imp Filter stuff and replacing it with CharacterStats, ACHooks, WorldFilter, or some custom functions making use of Imp Filter. Goal one is complete, we got code that can compile to a DLL.

Next goal is making sure all the new stuff works. I've never been a big user of WorldFilter in the past so there has been a learning curve here. I finally got things working where when I click a button in Castaway I was getting the GUID of the wand I was holding and from that I was able to get the name of the item. There are also some new stuff I had to add for CharacterStats, especially in tracking buffs on the bot. This goal is getting close to the point where it can be called complete.

Next goal will be some testing of the bot. Is it handling commands okay? What still isn't working? Should I take up heay drinking?

What can the users of Castaway expect? For starters the initial release will work when it is posted, but some thigns may not be functional. Currently I have the routine for adding keys to a key ring disabled. That was just something extra that doesn't have anything to do with buffing directly. Armor baning is disabled right now, but the goal is to get baning via a trade window working. Baning using something like Insanebot Client is off in the future, if it makes it back in. What we are talking about is getting the current version of Castaway working to an acceptable level, maybe 90% of the stuff working, then focus on Castaway 2.0 which would be either in C# or VB.Net.
