Asherons Call: Quest Updates: Soul Staff and Robe of the Tundra

This past month has brought sweeping changes to both the numbers and power of the creatures of Dereth - and the so-called "Creature Lords" were not exempt to these changes. Since these powerful creatures were discovered in Portal Year 12, Isparians have been taking parts of their possessions - or even parts of their corpses - and fashioning them into a variety of unusual items. With the changes to the creatures themselves, the items fashioned from them have also changed - and with the help of the information submitted by our wonderful readership, and Ross Elliott's (Optim Shi's) Creature Mapper for the spawn maps, Ophelea has begun the process of cataloguing these updates in our Quest Compendium!

Today, we have updated entries for the items to be found in the Linvak mountains: the Soul Staff, carried by the Lugian Warlord and the Robe of the Tundra, produced from the hide of a Tundra Mattekar. The Soul Staff is a powerful electrical weapon, usable by those with some skill in combat with the Staff, whilst the Robe of the Tundra provides both natural padding and a strength enchantment, available to any with a little knowledge of Arcane Lore.
