Asherons Call: QotD - Are You Playing the Character You Want to Play?

Today's QotD comes from dugfromthearth and its really quite good:

Simple question: are you playing the character you really want to play?

For me, no. I am playing dagger which I like, but I have item magic. I would really like to play a pure melee but having played a pure melee dagger to lvl 50, I don't consider them truly viable at the higher levels. So I am close, but just a bit off - and every time I buff my dagger I wish I didn't.

If I had to answer I'd say MOSTLY. I want a character that does trades and is my main but you can't do that and see content above your level. And since I don't mind dying, I really have to pick and choose my trades. So, I've dropped two of them. BUT! I'm spec'd TW now and always wanted to be. *grins*
