I had the time to have an interview with Ritacca, the new developer! Just check it out:

1)Congratulations you are now part of FW development team, what is your role currently as part of the development team for Freeworld?

Thanks, my current role is to develop the story of freeworld. Before i joined Freeworld, it had a vague story that was far to generic. My job is to give Freeworld a story, something that will pull players into freeworld and have them hooked on the game. I will also be doing the dialog for NPC's, item descriptions, monster descriptions and i work with Draconus on the map creation. And i will also be developing some very nice quests.

2)How did you find out about Freeworld in the first place?

I found out about freeworld, 3 years ago. When they first moved from a 2d rpg to a 3d rpg. I was first attracted at the orignality of the game. It was by far the most indepth game with the most free choices on character development. Games normally have characters too defined, in freeworld you can be anything as long as you put the time in to develop your character.

3)When did you first enter this wonderful world on Freeworld?

Like i said 3 years ago, from phase 3. The game has moved on alot since then, and its only gonna get better and better.

4)What MMOs have you played in the past?

The first MMO i played was...*cough*...then i went to games like Knights online, gunz, war rock, control monger, everquest, Dominion (text based) Dark horizon (text based). I love MMO's.

5)What made you decide to join the team?

I felt with the way freeworld was turning into a much more serious and darker game, that i could give the game a storyline and a nice range of quests that will challenge players and do the game justice.

6)I am sure it must have taken a lot of requirements (most or all have been mentioned in one of Drac's posts), do you consider yourself skilled to be able to get through it and be accepted?

Acceptance comes in time, and i am working my ass off to get as much as done as i can possibly do. My style of writing is more horror and fantasy and i think thats what made the Dev's pick me. Rather than another generic fantasy writer.

7)Any advice for others that are seeking to join?

To be able to work at a fast rate, the dev teams are doing one job at a time. So when a new map is planned, it requires new music, new mobs, a story, NPC's, and a hell of a lot more than people think. So you need to work fast so you dont slow down the team.
