Well, not quite, but WoW Europe's official site has some lore for your perusal. Here's the first sentence, because it's funny:

Murloc origins are shrouded in mystery.

Why is that funny, you ask? Because it reminds me of Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel when he introduced the long-forgotten Druidic tribesman from northern Europe:

In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history, an ancient race of people... the Druids. No one knows who they were or what they were doing...
