Neverwinter Nights 2: Question of the Month: Crafting

NWN2's publicity manager, Shane DeFreest, is calling for questions regarding crafting.
As many of you know crafting is something we've purposely been avoiding talking about. Well as of now we're officially saying that there will be crafting in the game. I had the luxury of having Ferret give me the download today and I have to say it's pretty damn cool.
So with that in mind this months topic will be about crafting. Like last month please only submit one question. Also, in an attempt to further streamline this every month please try and ask your question in a direct stand alone context.
I know its very easy want to make every question "In NWN1 they did it this way..." please try and avoid that if possible.
