Asherons Call: Remembering Those Who Served

Just a little note that one year ago this day, patch day on Feb 14, 2001, the Advocate and Sentinel teams of Asheron's Call were dissolved. We had no official advance warning (a couple of days of speculation), and logged on after the patch to find our Sentinel Characters deleted and Advocates missing their Aegis. It was painful, and a difficult decision for MS to have made, but we've survived.

Many of us have moved on, and a few small groups have managed to retain contact and friendships through the past year. I remember fondly my year and a half as an Advocate, then Advocate Overseer of Harvestgain. Many of the Advocates that I've worked with have faded away into the mists of time, but their memory lives on every time I pass one of those tall monuments 'To Those That Served' for Advocates and Sentinels.

Next time you double-click on one of those statues, and it bows or kneels towards you, remember that we were there to serve, and gladly serve we did...
