This just in from the official DDO Forums:
Weapon Sets
When you log on after the "The Dragon's Vault" module has been patched, you will notice something new on your inventory panel. There will be four green slots labeled "Weapon Sets." Each weapon set will allow you to quickly set up your primary and off hand items, or quickly un-equip whatever you currently have equipped. This will make it much easier to switch between weapons, including Two-Weapon Fighting sets and Shield/1H Weapon sets.
How Do I Setup My Weapon Sets?
The first weapon set will be filled in using the weapon and off-hand item that you had equipped when you last logged off before the update. You will be able to set up the weapon sets by dragging one or two items into the weapon set slots on the inventory panel. Then, drag the completed weapon set to one of your shortcut slots. From there, simply click on the shortcut and your primary and off-hand slots will be set up to match the weapon set. A weapon set can be cleared by dragging it into the 3d world. You can set up four such weapon sets.
How Will the Hotkeys Work?
If you put one dagger in the set, and you click on the shortcut when you have two rapiers in your hands, both rapiers will be un-equipped and the dagger will be equipped. Or you could have two short swords equipped, and when you click on a weapon set containing two rapiers, the short swords will be swapped out for the rapiers, even if your inventory is completely full. You can also shortcut an empty weapon set to quickly un-equip whatever is in both your hands.
You could have weapon sets to equip a number of combinations, such as:
One 1H weapon and a shield
Two 1H weapons
One 1H weapon and nothing in the offhand
One 2H weapon
One Ranged weapon, such as a bow or throwing daggers.
Nothing (your bare hands)
