GameFeed has just posted a very comprehensive review of Auto Assault, saying, "So, was the time in the garage worth the wait? Bet your pink slip it was!"
Here's more of what the review had to say:
You can also duel it out on the highways of your own server when you meet up with player from opposing factions. Outpost Assaults are also available, which let you and a Convoy coordinate a massive attack on the base of an opposing faction. Lastly, there's the region (it's actually it's whole dedicated server) called Ground Zero. This zone, located in an area where the three factions' territories intersect, has both a contested layer (Player versus Player) and a standard layer (non Player versus Player). It's easy to switch layers, just use the pull down menu below the mini-map to select the layer you want, and click the Go button. When you enter Ground Zero you're automatically bumped to level 80. Each layer has a slew of missions to complete, including timed missions. Ground Zero is a very cool idea that caters to people on both sides of the PvP fence.
So what does all this look and sound like? First, AA is the only MMO to use the Havok 2 physics engine. So when you destroy buildings they explode with the grandeur like one of the ole school Vegas casinos being imploded. When you make road kill out of enemy foot soldiers they splatter and rag-doll spectacularly! The game world itself is flat out beautiful. The zones for each faction are totally different from the others. Environments change dynamically, and include rain, lightning and all manner of other environmental anomalies caused by the Contamination.
