The Threat
We assessed the threat, hmm not terribly formidable...

Solclaim fought mightily, the enemies were at our mercy

This is the beginning of further experimentation upon specimen 1347, known as Jared Kurth. After his defeat at the hands of the Bloodless, he returned to a lifestone properly and showed no ill effect from using Heartbreaker. He has been equipped with a new weapon, which shall henceforth be referrred to as Souldrinker. Although it does not posess the unique characteristics of Heartbreaker, the current experiment does not require that. Rather, its ability - the ability to channel vitae directly from a dying target to the bearer - should yield valuable new clues into the workings of life and death on this world. The Stranger
Suddenly a stranger appeared among us. He exalted the king and called us all sorts of nasty names, threating to sick his minions on us once again, however, he was too afraid to take us on himself, particularly since many of us were higher level than he was, and afterall, he's only wearing a robe :D
Count Dardante says, "I see that my dog Kurth, had little trouble killing you bloodless."
Count Dardante says, "That was merely a taste of what is to come. All of your deaths make Kurth stronger."
Count Dardante says, "When I feel like making him return. you will all suffer more. Fools!"
Count Dardante says, "Do the smart thing and drop your allegiance to that bloodless queen you all blindly follow"
Count Dardante says, "Your puny magics cannot affect me."
Count Dardante says, "I laugh at your queen."
Count Dardante says, "While her people are being killed she stands by and does nothing. As usual"
Count Dardante says, "You would all be wise to consider joining the true king"
Count Dardante says, "We shall see. With the power we are gaining, your so called queen will be forced to surrender."
And with that he so cowardly ran away, letting his puny minions cover his retreat.
He left us with a note, more propaganda as usual.
Rejoice, for your salvation has come at last! Cast off the chackes of loyalty to your upstart queen, and instead follow one of royal blood - King Varicci II.
On Ispar, Aluvia prospered under the reign of Viamont. Why should it not be the same here, in a foreign land beset with enemies on all sides? And truly, what has Elysa done besides shoot an Olthoi many years ago? Consort with great powers who dragged us here against our will in the first place. Leave her people to fight the monsters of this world rather than protecting them as a monarch should. In times of need, be virtually impossible to find, sequestered away while her people seek aid.
For those who have not committed acts against the throne, Viamont offers reward in return for service. The illusion is that the Bloodless who serve Viamont do not get rewarded. Several free companies are in service to Viamont and can attest to the regular pat and benefits they receive. And there is one Bloodless that your upstart would term a traitor who is merely a victim of attempts to discredit her.
She gave you the housing many of you use on this world. She gave you new lifestones in places where none existed before. She gave you the Noble Weapons which helped turn the tides against the Burun. But your upstart would call her a traiter and try to smear her name. I call her a wise colleague who will help us better life on this continent for all Isparians.
Consider why you fight in this war. Consider the side you serve and then consider Viamont. A sane alterative in an insane world
