Star Wars Galaxies: CSR's bringing back the good ole' days.

I remember a time pre-cu when almost every Friday you would see CSR-PrestonB (Lead CSR Shadowfire) in the busy mining outpost of Dantooine just chatting with and getting to know players, he would always have a joke or a smile and it made the players feel more comfortable speaking with a CSR as they felt they were talking to a so to say friend than a total stranger and they knew that Preston cared about the players. Oh how I have missed those days, it was fun and added some extra fun and to see actual CSRs in game always was a jaw dropper to new players. Those days are long but gone since then as CSRs are so bust with tickets and assisting players they never have time to do that anymore, and it feels as if we are back to just talking to a machine with automated responces.

Last night all this was reverted right back to the good ole' days when CSR-RogerK and CSR-Jovig stopped by the NLFX-STARS Radio party in Mos Eisley not just to check for AFKers but they actually stayed for 10 mins and danced see I got a picture to prove it.

This is the Customer Service the Vet players were used to seeing and I have to admit I cought myself in a Deja Vu there for a few secs. It brought back fun time memories for me and it was a show stopper to new players.

If this is any sign that Customer Service is turning back to a more personal relationsahip with their players rather than just an answering service for tickets than I have to say that Star Wars Galaxies Customer Serivice is on it's way back home to what I new when I was a new player, and I have to say, it was nice to see a couple of CSRs just stop in on thier break to have some fun with the players.
