Neverwinter Nights 2: Multiplayer Support

| 3 May 2006 12:18

In Gamespy's preview yesterday, this comment caused a big stir about the number of players that would be able to play in a multiplayer persistent world:

(Feargus Urquhart)Should the AI of single-player not cut it, though, they'll find a welcoming environment for up to 15 of their friends in 16-player multiplayer games.

Luckily for us, Jason Keeney stepped in and set the matter to rest:

We dont have a 16 player limit. Whomever wrote that article is mistaken. We might not put a lot of testing hours on games above 16 players, but I cant think of a technical reason why we wont be able to support at least 64 players.

It proves the point that, just because it's on the Internet, it isn't necessarily true.
