Burning Crusade in a Nutshell

So instead of covering this in flowery fill-in text - I'm just going to get down to the nitty gritty. We spent some time talking to the Lead Technical Designer for World of Warcraft. In fact, this is the same designer that did all the strategy, tech, and logistics behind Skeram and Sartura in Anh'Qiraj.

He was very willing to talk to us and showed us some of the high points from Burning Crusade and patch 1.11

Starting of with patch 1.11:

Naxxramas

• 4 wings: Plague, Spider, Death Knight, Abomination
• Upon entrance choose which wing you want to go to
• Each wing consists of 3-4 bosses
• You have to beat the last boss in each wing to progress up the tower.
• Once you beat all 4 wings, you get a chance to fight Sapphiron (I hope I spelled that right)
• Once you beat Sapphiron you unlock the top where you can fight Kel'Thuzhad.
• The last boss of the spider wing is Maexxna

Now, onto the expansion
Bloodelves

• Sunstraider Isle - Bloodelves starting area
• They have a huge hunger for magic
• Racial Abilities
• +15 enchanting
• +5 all resistances
• Arcane Torrent - Silence all enemies within in 8 yards and regen some mana
• Mana Tap - Captura mana (stacks) as a magical charge that powers up Arcane Torrent
• They are North of Eastern Plaguelands (above Stratholme)
• Silvermoon City is the Bloodelf Capital
• Ghostlands - right outside of Silvermoon City
• All level 1-20 content is complete

Dranei

• Paladin, Warrior, Hunter, Mage, Priest
• Racial Abilities
• Shadow Resistance +10
• Jewelcrafting +15
• Heroic Presence: +1% chance to hit for all members of a party within 30yds.
• Blessing of the Naru: heal over time, 30min cooldown can cast on others

Jewelcrafting/Socketed Items

• Place Gems in items.
• Choose what gems you want
• Armorsmiths/leatherworkers will be able to make armor with sockets
• Can choose whatever combination of gems you want
• Can overwrite gems like you can overwrite enchants

[li]Jewelcrafters can create rings, amulets, trinkets and gems.

Karazhan

• 10 man raid dungeon
• Full length raid dungeon that will be on a weekly raid timer
• In Medivh's Tower - Moroes first boss in dungeon.
• Giant chess game using characters from Warcraft I will be a boss fight.

That pretty much wraps it up, I'm going to try and get some more time with it a bit later on and get some more detail.
