Star Wars Galaxies: Weekly Wednesday Beta Update #42

Every wednesday, Q-3P0 updates us on the current status of beta! This is a bit of what Q told us:

This past week we've been focusing heavily on stress testing the servers. We are making a lot of forward progress but they aren't yet to the level that we need them in order to go to open Beta (meaning NDA lifted Beta). As many of you are aware, we don't want to repeat the mistakes of some past MMOs and have an unstable launch, so we are making sure we get it working smoothly now while we are in closed beta.

Last night we had a special event on the servers where I hid Experience Point Terminals around all the planets. Players who were lucky enough (or determined enough) to find them could load up on free experience points to increase their characters. We will likely have another character wipe in the next couple weeks, so we figured it was okay to let a portion of the population rocket to the higher end professions (they need testing too).

Free XP.. nice! Oh yea, and Q had one more thing to say at the end of the beta post:

By the way, we'll be putting out probably another 10,000 invites by the end of the week.
