And now on to the videos . . .
Video 13 - Cycle Time
Nothing too shocking here. As the day/night cycle changes, the lighting changes dramatically.
Video 14 - Creating the Room
Long ago, I worked on a group of interior tilesets with other modelers. I used a very similar mechanism for placing tiles, where anything could be placed anywhere, even if it looked stupid. Mostly this was because I was lazy. In this case, I suspect it's due to the ability to mix and match tilesets.
Video 15 - Adding Table
The part where the table is added was probably the least interesting aspect of the movie. It basically works just like NWN. Seeing the castle interior up close was awful purdy though.
Video 16 - Candelabra
You can see how the lighting options are working here. The candelabra doesn't cast or receive shadows, so there are probably other dynamic lights in the room. The normal mapping of the table and other surfaces really stand out.
Video 17 - Prefab
Prefabs appear to be mostly there to save time, as the tilesets are now relatively sparse. We've got a light green set of chairs and tables here. I'm also guessing that you can easily break and reform prefabs, perhaps moving things around a small amount so that things don't look completely uniform.
Video 18 - Prefab Tint
It's nice to be able to tint as a group, otherwise people would be having a terrible time trying to make all the furniture match. I'm trying to figure out what's casting shadows in this picture. The table, chairs, and such appear not to be in this case.
All-in-all, it's yet another nice bit of reporting yet again. It's getting to the point where I can't wait to get my hands on the toolset to start tinkering around.
