For those of you who haven't yet tried out Shadowclaim, the test server for the new hardware for AC1, it looks this weekend is [b]THE[/B] weekend to do it. Don't think so? Look what we just received from Turbine:

[i]So what's this Shadowclaim thing?

As Ken Karl announced last Friday on the ACCMTY boards, we are in the process of upgrading the AC1 servers to new hardware in a more efficient configuration. Right now we are in the testing phase of this process, and so we have opened up a temporary test server in order to gather data on how the new hardware performs.

All players with an active AC or ACDM subscription are invited to come play on this test world. We copied over a recent version of the Solclaim player database, so if you already play on that world, your character will be available for you on Shadowclaim. If you don't have a character on Solclaim, then start a new one on Shadowclaim!

What's going on this weekend?

We've already gathered some good data over the past weekend, but now we'd like to get some heavier load data. Our goal is to see 1000 players logged in at the same time. So this coming weekend - Friday and Saturday, May 2 & 3 - will be absolutely filled with magical, murderous mayhem.

Come see all your old favorite storyline characters - Asheron and Bael'Zharon, Martine and Gaerlan, the White Rabbit, the Tremendous Monouga, and more! Join in epic PK battles! Quest with the Asheron's Call Live Team! Get them killed, over and over again!

But wait, you say - you don't play on Solclaim, and so you'll be stuck as a lowly level 1? No worries - admins will be on hand to help characters level!

And best of all, nothing that happens on Shadowclaim will affect characters on the 'real' worlds. So it's perfectly safe to train Thrown Weapons, or gamble away your Major War heaume in a trivia contest, or run naked through the Valley of Death!

To get to Shadowclaim, go to the Zone. (You may need to choose 'Play Asheron's Call' from the left-hand menu the first time you visit.) Click on the appropriate Shadowclaim Quick Launch, and in you go!
