The Online Gaming focused site MMOZ.com has just posted a really nice interview with Stieg that goes into a bit more detail about how the minions role in Gods & Heroes will play out.

"Minions cannot use player equipment--this would be too unbalancing. Instead minion equipment is purchased in sets, which include armor weapons, and the whole shebang, and then these sets are purchased for all of the minions you have of whichever type--you upgrade all of your infantry at once, for example."
