Neverwinter Nights 2: NW Citadel Update & Help Wanted

| 7 Jun 2006 01:59

Papermonk has made a lengthy but now cloed post on the official forums(but you can find it here now) about the new site, Neverwinter Citadel:

Okay... I can't believe it's been a little over 24 hours, but... wow, what a 24 hours.

Normally, I'd not make another post about it so soon - but things are developing so fast.

We've moved on to a "permanent" forum home and it's fairly setup. Just to give you an idea... we've had about 70 people register and over 250 posts between the two forums. And most of it's been pretty serious (I think we made fun of Salinea's age some, but other than that...)

So, the new forum is at www.nwcitadel.com/forum Mind you, it's just one letter off from the old one. No "s". Much better setup. The phpBB was always meant to be temporary, but I didn't plan on moving this fast.

Now, to update you all.

The main of the website will either be up by the end of this week or after I get back from Dallas this weekend. This will include the wiki and galleries. The "project/cvs" stuff is still being discussed but will be up shortly as well. I do want input, so if you know of software you like or have comments, please make them. Right now it's between dotProject and phpProjekt. Obviously, there's not a huge rush on that part. We've got lots of good people already on board but we're going to need a few more as we get situated.

So, for those of you interested in being involved - or willing to help us out, this is kind of a list of "what we need." Keep in mind, this is not a site just for custom content developers. It's meant for everyone and there is space alloted for programmers and scripters and writers. Anyone who wants a home, has one there. And more importantly, a lot of these following jobs do not neccesitate knowledge of CC. The wiki probably, but that's about it. So, don't let that stop if you want to be involved. Many of the people there now are not CC peeps.

Right now I'm expecting things to play out like this....

We'll be pretty busy for 2-3 weeks as we get established. It'll slow down over summer, which is fine because we need to be ready when the game releases...

And then it'll be absolutely crazy for months. It'll slow down to a nice pace after 3-4 months most likely. Ideally it'll just keep going from there on out.

Head here for more information and for the job postings.
