Dark Age Of Camelot: New Frontiers World Notes

| 9 Jun 2006 16:44

  • The boat path from the dock near Hurbury to Nottmoor Faste has been fixed to drop you off near Nottmoor Faste rather than near Bledmeer Faste.
  • The docks at Caer Benowyc and Bledmeer Faste have been moved back to their original position. Boat paths, NPCs, maps, and the like have been adjusted to accommodate the old dock locations.
  • The dock at Dun Crauchon has been moved. It is now on the coast facing the island that Dun Crauchon is located on; this brings it in line with the position of the docks at Caer Benowyc and Bledmeer Faste. Boat paths, NPCs, the map, and the like have been adjusted to accommodate the new dock location.
  • Keep lords are now worth a substantial amount of Master Level experience.
  • (Pendragon Only) Cathal Valley has been slightly tweaked. Cathal Valley itself is now more threatening than ever and will require smart maneuvering tactics. Players now have the option to take the high ground route or the low ground route. Players will be unable to run up the hillside in the valley unless they are at the appropriate entry points.
  • (Pendragon Only) Various ambient sounds and effects have been added to Cathal Valley.

Cathal Valley Battleground - General

  • Each realm has sent out a contingent of guards to protect their portal keep in the new battleground of Cathal Valley.
  • A basic monster population has been added to the new battleground, Cathal Valley. This population includes charmable monster camps for the classes that utilize charmed monsters.
  • The gatehouse doors on the milegates have been changed from a standard door that will open to anyone to a realm specific door. This means players can use their realm specific doors at any time (just left or right click on the door when near it), but enemy realms must beat down the door to enter the gatehouse. The gatehouse doors are not upgradable and they will not repair themselves but they are repairable by players. This change will give players a safe spot to rest up while defending their milegate, but allows the enemy a chance to flush them out as well.
