Dentrick's Library, Issue #4

Rei Dentrick has sent in the [A href="http://acvault.ign.com/features/columns/dentrick/04-29-03.shtml" target="_blank"]fourth issue[/a] of his column, Dentrick's Library. This week, Rei discusses money macros, lore, Shadowclaim and more! Here is a teaser:[blockquote]My column's specialty is talking about gimps and noobs. So of course I had to try out Shadowclaim. It makes me wonder how a new player can survive without a high level to buff him or give him items. The Drudge Slaves in the Holtburg Dungeon and Drudge Hideout are a challenge, but a new player would get slaughtered by them. You can't solo the Drudge Hideout till about level ten, and then I could only do that using archer cheese tricks, such as shooting over the barrels. I also had to single enemies out, and I was wearing a Hoary Mattekar Robe (give to me randomly by someone in the marketplace). They added a limestone golem, a gromnie, and armadillos in the Holtburg Dungeon. It's VERY fun if you're with a group, but suicide alone. All in all, I got to poke fun at Asheron and had a lot of fun.[/blockquote]Read up on his adventures by clicking here.

Tales from Ispar: Part 2

We have posted the second part of Survias' [A href="http://acvault.ign.com/features/stories/ispar/" target="_blank"]Tales From Ispar[/a] series. Here is a teaser of [A href="http://acvault.ign.com/features/stories/ispar/2.shtml" target="_blank"]Part 2:[/a][blockquote]The roughened Aralean's eyes began to water and his voice choked as he spoke. "I was younger then, I had not seen the terrors that plague my mind. If Aralea was half as strong as Narun I never should have seen what I did. Elihu's armada went from town to town, village to village, slaughtering and looting; we tried to defend ourselves but a small group of Aralean warriors does little good against the organized Ilcrestian army." Axis stood and prepared to go back to his post. "My children made it out with me, my wife turned back." Axis turned to leave; Takiro watched him saunter away slowly. He ran his hand along the course sand, reading what Axis had carved into it. "Free Narun." He closed his eyes and relaxed a moment.[/blockquote]

New Issue of The Weekly Fork!

Josh has updated his column, The Weekly Fork! This issue, titled "Some Things Never Change" describes his return to AC1 to play on Shadowlcaim. Here's a teaser:[blockquote]Being on the test server reminded me of times when I would take a character I planned on re-rolling, and kill him in a thousand possible ways. One of my favorites was in subway, running into a wall and using the '@die' command just when I hit it, to seem as if I was killed by the impact. Another fun way is to wave at people until they finally wave back. And when they do, '@die.' Another wonderful way to go down would be to grab a lifestone in an impossible place, running to critters that were way over your head, and go down with brave stupidity.[/blockquote]Click here to read on!
