Dungeons And Dragons Online: Unlocking Drow and Character Slots

Over on the official forums, Sporkfire clears up some issues on Unlocking a Drow. Here is what he has to say:

There have been several questions about unlocking the Drow for the past few days. The answers have been confused a few times, due to changing technical circumstances and information. We wanted to start this thread to provide the final factual answers on these questions.

Unlocking a Drow through the patron system on one server will make the race available on that server only. If you want to create a Drow on another server, you will need to earn favor through the patron system on that server. To sum it up, unlocking the Drow on one server will make them available on that server only.

We realize that many of you already have five characters on your favorite server that you have invested time and energy in. We do not want to make this a situation where you would have to delete a character to create your Drow. We are working on an update that will add a character slot to any server that you have unlocked the Drow on. We hope to have this update ready for you very soon and will let you know the schedule for its release.

While I am a bit tossed on the fact that I have to unlock the Drow on each server, I am happy that I get will be getting a new slot to help on my main server.
