MsNiL My primary concern with the BH system and the showed potential of the other profession expertise tree's is the lack of specialization for Pistols, Battle Armor and Recon Armor.

It seems this system tries to reduce diversity rather than promoting it and that is not what I expect from a roleplaying game.

Tunso There's only so much physical space in a tree so I had to make some choices. It would take 1 1/2 to 2 additional trees to offer a complete suite of specializations in every possible combination armor and weapons. If we include melee weapons in the mix, add another two trees for a total of 4 or more extra trees.

Obviously that's out of the realm of possibility so I had to make some choices. Carbines and rifles felt the most BH'ish to me (yes there's examples of BH's using pistols and melee weapons) and composite armor includes the specialize Bounty Hunter armors already in game. I understand some of you are disappointed, so I wanted to share with you the reasons behind those choices.

Darth_Spike I was hoping you could answer my earlier question, which might allay some of the disapointment you speak of.

Currently there are seveal Specials that simply wont work with Meele, or wont work with looted weapons, and the BH comunity believes these are bugs. If you could inform us as to the INTENDED restrictions or lack thereof, we could provide you with some great feedback.

Tunso I had originally conceived of the new abilities being ranged only. However that said, I can't see any real reason for that restriction on abilities like Antagonize, Fumble, Stun, Intimidate and Dread Strike. So I'll set these to allow any weapon rather then requiring Ranged.

Darth_Spike I know many BH will apreciate that, but would you considder making either the Assult line or the Ambush line (or maybe both) Melee as well. I think for many, being able to use a decently powerful special attack with Meele would partially make up for the fact that we have no specific Meele specilization.

Tunso The extended lines of Ambush should have been ALL to match the earlier versions so I'm fixing the upgraded versions to match the earlier ones too.

Crash752 Bounty Hunter healing is too low.

Tunso I wouldn't say it's low. They just don't get any bonuses to it.

However, if you choose to to spend the points on them you can get quite a bit of defense in the form of increased mitigation, increased avoidance and opponent debuff abilities. So BH's can go for a substantial increase in defense if they want but it doesn't come from an increase in healing power.

Crash752 In that case the duration of those buff and debuff expertise skills need to be increased. If we are going to have to rely on them solely they need to last longer than a 15 seconds.

Tunso Solely? Relied upon solely, you can keep them up 1/2 the time yes. And if that's all the extra defense you take, you get what you paid for. If you get, for example, both Fumble AND Dread Strike then you can twist between the two and keep an opponent debuffed. Or you could take passive defenses that are always there like the mitigation and avoidance skills. Or go totally nuts and take them all. Or take none of them and be just like you are today.
