Something I really didn't understand, and it relates to PWs: a person asked a question about 'Walkmesh' and data being sent to a computer. The programmers said they were looking into 'streaming' the data or somesuch.

This could be big news to PW folks if it pans out.

They have this new thing called "BAKE" that outputs a file for a final version of a level. Didn't really understand them here.

I assume they're referring to creating a walkmesh based on the heightmap and placeables.

Not really related to 'building', but they said they'd "try as hard as [they] can" to get a DM Client in. Seems like it's not going to happen, though, as they really weren't sure how to proceed on the situation.

I assume they're talking about a download versus with the in-store game. Now that they have extra time, they might re-evaluate, but it still would be difficult to pull off.

There was a question about whether the 'communal alignment' problem was dealt with ('Rogue on second floor steals stuff, Paladin on bottom floor takes alignment penalty'), and apparently it was fixed.

Interesting tidbit.

Around 160 heads total between all races, six general ones for each race and about one or two special ones for each race.

That's a nice big number. I think they're including subraces in there as well.

Here's the thread.
