The important word in one of my previous sentences is the word "hope". We just don't know yet what we will be able to get done and not by the Day 1 patch. The reason for that is that we are pounding away at polishing the game and fixing all the bugs and I'm not sure the exact number of days it will take to get the game where we want it to be. So, we could be using many of the days between now and shipment on finallizing the game rather than working on the DM Client for the Day 1 patch. On the other hand, bug fixing might go great in the next couple of weeks and we will be able to start working on it sooner. Unfortunately as of right now, I just don't know. What I do want to do once the DM Client TDD is finallized is to make a summarized version of it available to the community. It will at least explain what we are trying to accomplish.
Feargus wanted this information published to, as he said, keep him honest. So be it. Nothing he says indicates that there will NOT be a DMC (note the use of "Day 1 Patch") the language does raise questions as to whether or not a DMC will be available on the day of release with all bells and whistles functioning.
