Well, if you're reading this, it means things went successfully. Our new hub-site has been launched. As you've probably noticed, it's quite a different animal than our previous site. It's also not called the Warcry News Network (WNN) any longer. That's because, as many of you probably noticed, we've drifted away from news reporting, and have decided that columns and editorials of relatively interesting material provides better reading than dry news bits that can be easily found at Bluesnews.

The content on this site, for the next month or two will consist mostly of columns, editorials and other forms of articles. Ideally these will be punctuated by interviews with industry bigwigs, industry smallwigs, and various homeless people from my area. In The Future (tm), once we have our new, fancy, propriety forums built, stable and implemented, we'll be invited game developers into them to discuss various aspects of the industry. These will be Dev-only forums, so you can read their mental expulsions without interruption from adolescent Prozac addicts that will spam "CAN U HIER ME PLZ" incessantly until everyone flames them and leaves. We here at Warcry firmly believe that idiots should not be tolerated on forums, and so in forums designed to encourage constructive conversations, only proven intellectuals will be given permission to post. Of course, we'll have our regular General Discussion forums, where anyone can say anything.

Also, we're currently taking steps to unify the Warcry Network in more ways. Shortly we will have a live RSS feed to every site on the network. What this means, is that headlining news from each site will appear in the nifty "Headlines" area of this site. In addition, once I break the wills of each Site Manager, the new Warcry.Com logo will be appearing on every site.

We're in a state of growth and construction at the Warcry Network. We've managed, thanks to reliable advertisers, to do away with our Pop-Ups and divert our energies from simply trying to keep the network afloat, to actually improving it, and adding new sites. This is a Good Thing (tm). In the spirit of improvement, I'll gladly read any suggestions you people may have, as long as they're intelligent and well thought out. I'll read the unintelligent ones too, but mainly just for amusement.

Also, if you have experience writing geek-related articles, on a weekly basis for a similarly-themed website, please feel free to contact me if you're interested in a position on our staff. I'll read some of your work, and we'll find out if Warcry's a good place for you. No, you won't be paid, but you'll become an instant celebrity. Hahah!

So, that's my update for now. I'll keep you all posted on my UO experiences as they progress.
