Hello, Avalon Calling!

I sit here waiting for my copy of DAOC to patch up to current so I can log in and experience this new co-op server for myself. I'm throwing my hand back onto the table because Shrouded Isles is coming out, and I can't help but wonder what life will be like as an Inconnu...

It'll probably be shady! (heh-heh. it's a joke, son. a joke.)

So Shrouded Isles promises 100% more Shiny with their graphics engine (based on Morrowind), plus new landmasses, races, classes...it sounds like a veritable smorgasbord of teh goodenss (typos intentional)!

Tack that stuff onto the proposed co-op server (yes, Virginia, you may play with any realm, in any realm, doing anything, use their stuff...WHOO!) and it's like everything I actually WANT to do. I can drag a Hibernian into Stonehenge and see what happens, then go voyaging the Northlands with a Minstrel...

Ah, many thanks for doing something that not only makes ME enjoy the game again, but brought all of my guildies back to me.

Expansion comes out the 3rd. We'll see if the promised Shiny lives up to itself.
