Probably most people my age and older remember the BBS days prior to the internet coming to the entire world. AOL was version 1.0 and most people could only hope to have a 2400 baud modem. During that time I had a BBS run on a top of the line 486SX 25Mhz with a wopping 4 megs of ram. I had FidoNet which is the equivalent of what newsgroups are now today though more like a extended chatroom also. One of the unique features of "The Den BBS" was a game called "Legend of the Red Dragon" LORD for short.

It was a very popular ORPG if you can say it was online. I liked it becuase while I could play locally and people could still login into my machine and sometime they played LORD and it was essentially a ORPG in it's own way. We could chat and hunt together or sometimes duke it out if we felt like it.

You miss those days too eh? Well guess what I just stumbled upon!

LORG "Legend of the Green Dragon" yes the game is alive and this time it's a version that can support many people. Much more than my bbs could :)

You can play it by heading to http://lotgd.sourceforge.net/

Have fun!
