First off, as you all know, there will be four levels of housing available to you from a simple Cottage to a Mansion. They'll also be available in the style of the realm you inhabit.
Oh yeah, and open beta is in about a week.
Now, where was I....
The interface you have to customize your home is very simple and easy to use. And you can customize not only what's IN your house but your house itself. If you want wood, stone, a different door or a roof. Your home will look the way it would if you had designed it from the materials on up.
Guild Banners will be available to place on your home. Some symbols for crafters will be due at a later time.
The gardens that are available are HUGE. I mean HUGE. Like the size of the house itself. You have literally hundreds of options of items to place in or out of your house - assuming of course you can afford them. Once you bought something you place it. Don't like it at that angle? Turn it. Put it anywhere within your property you want.
There are no hooks in houses - everything is simply placed and arranged.
Furniture and decorations are available for interior decorating as well as the very popular trophie. I watched a mounted Dragon's head move all around the house. I was told that more and more creatures will drop parts as time goes on so expect to have more than the initial group.
Items that are in your inventory can also be placed. You won't actually be removing the item from your inventory, but placing a copy on the wall/floor/etc. So, if you've got a favorite sword that you want to show off, put it in your foyer and be proud!
Something that will make housing particularly useful will be the four treasure chests in your basement - all the size of Vaults. So, don't expect to be short on storage anymore!
There is no recall to your home, but you will find teleporter merchants to get you home. Also, the ability to sit and lie down may not make it with the housing, but you can be sure it will with the expansion.
Also, coming soon after the expansion will be porches with vendors. A crafter will be able to sell his wares through this vendor when offline. Ok, I'm jealous.
Oh yeah, and to the person who wanted to know what would happen to bounty points? I was told that eventually you'd be able to buy personal horses and that guilds could combine them. I assume this is a good thing?
Atlantis
What I saw of Atlantis was well, beautiful. First off, expect a graphics upgrade with this. (Don't worry, if your system can't handle the upgrade you'll still be able to play). Oceanus is EXTREMELY detailed and beautiful...just well, beautiful.
This is a very story-driven expansion and also a high level expansion - for players that are 40+. Archaeologists at the dig will tell you how it was found and why it disappeared. There will be competition find out the rest.
By the way, the sharks are hostile so be careful! And when you're piloting your boat, be sure to wear sunblock!
The point of the Trials is to gain what's called master levels. A way of advancement...but expect a lot of compeition.
I hope I've answered at least some of your questions. The Housing you're receiving is quite wonderful and seriously, Atlantis is beautiful. Congratulations.
