New Gamecube by 2005?

If this article on IGN has any substance then yes you'll see it in about year and a half. What does this mean for everyone else? If the GameCube hits shelves in 2005 ahead of it's two biggest competitors and is good then they'll obtain a substantial advantage over the PS2 and Xbox. This may also add pressure for the PS3 and Xbox2 to come out ASAP in 2005 also. The big question is will Nintendo make a comeback with this strategy or finally fade into the background as many others predict?
