Xbox2 Powered by ATI

According to some senior development people over at MS UK the Xbox2 which is still unannounced is going to be powered by ATI grapics processors. Tie this in with the fact that Nvidia has had trouble keeping up with it's Canadian competitor and some rough ground with Microsoft themselves it's a logical decision to include ATI into the Xbox2.

If the Xbox2 is going to follow the path that the playstation is with trying to provide a home entertainment center which is basically one unit that would do Tivo TM, it's respective games, dvd playback, and music. ATI with it's All in Wonder series has proved that they're a leader in the multimedia video card department. While Nvidia has solely focused mainly on games.

Course they both wont be replacing my DirectTivo any time soon but who knows what they might entice me with.
