The Adventure Company to Use NDL's Gamebryo In its Upcoming Sequel Traitors Gate II: Cypher
(CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - September 22, 2003) -
NDL, a leading developer of 3D graphics technology for the computer and video game industry, announced today that its Gamebryo technology is being used in *The Adventure Company's much anticipated Traitors Gate II: Cypher. The publisher agreement with DreamCatcher Interactive Inc, announced earlier this year, allows their development teams to create unique and compelling video games for the PC, Xbox™, PlayStation®2 and Nintendo GameCube®.
"We licensed Gamebryo because of the capabilities the technology provides and the time it saves our development teams throughout the entire process," said Richard Wah Kan, CEO of DreamCatcher Interactive Inc. "With the Gamebryo tools and NDL's support team, our developers can reduce risk and deliver a blockbuster game."
Due to be released this Fall, Traitors Gate II: Cypher is the sequel to the popular title Traitor's Gate, which was released in 2000. An adventure game that combines brain-teasing challenges with broad exploration, Traitors Gate II: Cypher features rich and beautifully rendered environments.
"Gamebryo is a framework for game development that gives teams the freedom to expand their production pipeline - it is not a "one size fits all" environment that forces you into a particular way of doing things," said Lars Bishop, Chief Technology Officer of NDL. "Because of this, developers using Gamebryo can spend their time on what they do best - creating great games."
