Monster Rancher 4 + Cool Kids == I'm out of touch

Oct 13, 2003 10:15 -- Monster Rancher 4 Gets Cooler; Cooler Kids Lend Their Musical Talents to Tecmo's Digital Monster Breeding Adventure

Tecmo(R) proudly announced today that it has collaborated with dance-music sensation, Cooler Kids, to provide the opening and ending music tracks for its upcoming U.S. release of "Monster Rancher(R) 4."

Cooler Kids, comprised of singer Sisely Treasure and DJ Kaz Gamble, first broke onto the dance-music scene with their hit single, "All Around the World (Punk Debutante)." A refreshing mix of modern/vintage/80s electro and funk, this first single broke #5 on the dance club charts. They have since followed up with their latest, "Morning Star," which has reached #4. According to Billboard, "...the year's giddiest guilty pleasure. They deliver the freshest, most fun track in years." Cooler Kids have also been featured in many of today's top movies, TV shows and are one of the hottest acts being featured in sporting arenas throughout the country.

"We have spent a lot of time in our lives playing video games," Cooler Kid Kaz Gamble said. "Though we have been happy to be a part of films and shows such as 'Lizzie McGuire', 'The O.C.' and many others, the opportunity to create original music for a series such as 'Monster Rancher' made us so excited that we couldn't sleep the whole week! We had a blast working on the songs because the playful energy of the game really works well with our up-tempo beats and sweet lyrics."

The prolific duo has composed two original tracks for "Monster Rancher 4." Track 1, entitled "Dreams Can Be," is featured as the title track and plays during the opening anime movie. It sets the tone and evokes the same fun and lightheartedness that players will expect from the game. Track 2, entitled "Welcome Home," plays during the ending credits and conveys a soothing satisfaction of an excellent gaming experience.
