If you're reading this review, you're probably already aware that there have been numerous ones just like it posted everywhere possible.
Well, I was too busy playing the damn game to post it any sooner, Ok? I love the RTS genre. I'm an old Turn Based Strategy gamer from way-back, and when RTS hit the scene, it was like a breath of fresh air.
But that was back in the mid 90s, with the first installment of WarCraft. Since then, the RTS genre has been deluged by look-alikes that didn't deviate too far from the same recipe: Gather resources, build camp, attack opponent (stir vigorously). I never really appreciated the Age of Empires series from Ensemble Studios.
That's not to say I didn't purchase and play through every single encounter in every single entry in the series. An addict will tell you without blinking that mediocre Heroin is better than none at all.
