Turbine Nabs Video Game Veteran for Exec Position

WESTWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 2003--

Turbine Entertainment Software, a leading developer and publisher of online subscription entertainment, announced today the addition of respected video game industry veteran Vladimir Starzhevsky to its development studio team. As Executive Producer for Middle-Earth Online, Starzhevsky oversees the direction, development and production of Turbine's latest project, which is based on the world famous "The Lord of the Rings" books by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Starzhevsky brings more than a decade of game industry experience with him to Turbine, with expertise in product development and international business development.

Previously, Starzhevsky served as a senior game producer and group manager for Vicarious Visions, Inc., overseeing a number of handheld and console game development projects. Some of Starzhevsky's titles included high profile games such as Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 and Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, which became a PlayStation Greatest Hits title, selling more than one million copies worldwide.

Before that, Starzhevsky was a director of overseas development for Papyrus, Inc. where he worked on numerous NASCAR titles.

Starzhevsky holds a Master's Degree in Architecture from Academy of Architecture, Russia, and a business degree from Harvard Extension.
