Half-Life: Natural Selection v3.0 Coming Soon!

Charlie Cleveland, Game programmer and designer of Natural Selection, the latest, greatest mod to the original Half-Life, recently alerted us to a new version due out soon. Here's the announcement:

The Half-Life: Natural Selection team is proud to announce that NS v3.0 (previously known as v2.1) is nearing completion! Here are the highlights:

- New NS:Combat gameplay mode! Fast and furious action, along with an experience model, and lots of upgrades make this an intense teamplay fun-fest.
- Native Steam support
- Full VALVe Anti-Cheat support
- 8+ new maps, over 150 new textures
- New alien upgrades, new "catalyst packs" for the marines
- Hundreds of bugs and exploits fixed, and many more improvements
- Internal testing and balance by over a thousand community veterans and donators
