SQUARE ENIX'S FINAL FANTASY XI WINS "BEST ONLINE GAME"
AT SPIKE TV'S FIRST ANNUAL VIDEO GAME AWARDS

LOS ANGELES, Calif., December 3, 2003 - Square Enix U.S.A., Inc. ("Square Enix U.S.A."), the publisher of Square Enix™ products in North America, announced that FINAL FANTASY® XI won the accolade of "Best Online Game" at Spike TV's first annual Video Game Awards. The winners were announced last night at the awards ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
