During Turbine Nation 2004, there were two Middle-Earth Online presentations; one on concept art, and the other on quest design. Each presentation was given by a panel of developers. In the second session (on the design panel), was a man named George Ziets, who introduced himself by saying, "I'm a quest designer and I have a chicken fetish." The Middle-Earth Online community has since dubbed him Chicken George. With this interview, ME Warcry intends to shed some light on what he does, and more importantly... what's with the chickens?
What is a typical day at the office like for you?
Bwaha! There's no such thing, and I like it that way. I look at my life more in terms of "weeks". In a given week, I could be doing something completely different than I did during the week before. The introductory quest we previewed at Turbine Nation was two weeks of work. Another week, it could be another set of quest arcs, NPC dialog, building or decorating dungeons, or fixing bugs. It varies a lot.
