Great Entertainment - Mortal Kombat: Deception XBox Review

As the original poster child of video game violence, Midway's Mortal Kombat series has had a very colorful history. While the first iteration of the franchise succeeded based on shock value, video-captured artwork, and the unique "Fatality" concept, the second improved the gameplay so much that it lifted the series into serious competition with the reigning 2D champion, Street Fighter II, (and caused a gamer feud nearly the equal of Nintendo vs SEGA).
