Some Bang for Little Bucks - Hidden and Dangerous 2: Sabre Squadron Expansion Review

| 26 Nov 2004 04:05

War is hell. However, that doesn't stop many gaming companies from embarking on this particular subject matter in their titles. Quite popular as of late has been the Second World War setting, during which the Hidden and Dangerous 2 series takes place. Developed by Illusion Softworks and published by Global Star, this tactical-based shooter recently added an expansion pack, Sabre Squadron, to the mix, which boasts the following improvements on the original: co-operative play, new multiplayer maps, new weapons, new vehicles and improved AI. While Sabre Squadron delivers on most of the aesthetics, it falls short in achieving a less frustrating gameplay experience than the first title, which was plagued with, among other things, some very counter-intuitive AI performance.
